About the role
Reporting to the FOH Supervisor, the Kit Room & Locker Room Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operation of The Kit Room & Locker Room within the Gladiators Experience at the NEC Arena in Birmingham.
A key guest facing role, the Kit Room & Locker Room Supervisor will oversee team deployment, queue management and customer flow to ensure guests are correctly equipped and fully prepared for their arena experience.
The Kit Room & Locker Room Supervisor will coordinate the Kit Room & Locker Room Assistants, overseeing PPE and uniform distribution, upselling contender uniforms and ensuring all waivers are completed. The role will also maintain sanitation standards, stock levels, and handle lost property in line with operational procedures.
Responsibilities
Ensure the Kit Room & Locker room areas are fully operational and guest-ready at all times
Oversee the Kit Room & Locker Room Assistants, ensuring the team stays on task and provides high service standards
Monitor queue flow and customer movement through The Kit Room & Locker Room, maintaining efficient throughput while delivering a positive and organised guest experience
Oversee the distribution and control of PPE, VIP uniforms and Contender uniforms, ensuring correct sizing, accurate allocation and effective turnaround between sessions
Drive upselling of contender uniforms and related products, supporting overall commercial objectives
Ensure all required waivers are accurately completed and verified prior to participation
Maintain stock control processes, monitoring inventory levels, replenishment and minimising loss or damage
Ensure hygiene procedures are followed, including regular cleaning of PPE, equipment and locker facilities
Oversee the organisation of The Kit Room & Locker Room, ensuring presentation is in line with show standards
Handle lost property processes, ensuring items are logged, stored and returned in line with company policy
About you
ESSENTIAL
Extensive experience in a supervisory role in a large venue or event
Proven ability to assist management teams in high customer throughput environments
Strong leadership skills and ability to motivate teams
Effective communication skills both written and verbal
Strong understanding of the importance of following H&S procedures
Clear, confident communicator, both written and verbal
Passionate about delivering high quality customer service with a strong customer focus approach
Flexible availability with the ability to be on-site for all events including on evenings and weekends
DESIRABLE
Experience with participatory or physical interactive attractions
Experience supervising teams on family focussed events
Rate
Rate dependent on experience and will be discussed at the offer stage.
Any sickness, holiday or any other absence will be taken as unpaid leave and will be deducted from this monthly figure, based on a pro rata figure.
Agreement Type & Length
Freelance agreement until the end of August 2026.
Applicants will need to be available across the below periods, working on a rotating shift basis in line with live show days.
Onsite training will be between 24th April – 1st May
Live show dates will be from 1st May 2026 through June and July and run until the end of August.
Live show days increase during Spring Bank Holiday and from mid July through to the end of August, with shifts rotating across the week (including weekends and evenings)

Please note that accommodation is not provided, therefore applicants must be local to Birmingham or have accommodation available to them throughout the duration of the agreement.
Working Hours
Onsite hours vary in length but are generally 8:30am – 18:45pm (this will also include weekends)
